The 2019 AN Best of Design Awards jury selected VIA’s BART Market Street Canopies as an honorable mention in the Infrastructure category. Congratulations to all the project teams.
The floating horizontal canopy establishes a recognizable icon to aid wayfinding, improves security and weather protection, and minimizes impact to the existing streetscape, while providing a floating canvas for the expression of the unique identities that permeate each station on Market Street.
